Hall of Fame 2010
The LBLGA Hall of Fame Dinner is rapidly approaching. This year’s Hall of Fame dinner will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2010, at the Long Beach Yacht Club. Festivities to begin at 6:00 pm.
The Hall of Fame dinner recognizes association members and community members who have participated, donated, and have risked their lives to save others. It is also a reunion in which Lifeguards from years past and present can reminisce about the good old days. Meritorious awards will be issued for members of the public, as well as Lifeguards. Lifeguard of the year nominations are still open. Contact Michelle Ferrill.
Tom DeLong is this years inductee. Tom has been instrumental in the alumni association, as well as the HB Junior Lifeguard program. Tom was a teacher, and a coach. Some of his athletes even became Olympians.
